REBECCA KAZIN, MD, FAAD
Dr. Rebecca Kazin has devoted her professional career to achieving excellence in patient care and is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology. She is a Board Certified Dermatologist at the renowned Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery and is on faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
She served as Medical Director of the Hopkins Dermatology and Cosmetic Center for close to a decade and was responsible for training Dermatology and Plastic Surgery residents in cosmetic dermatology. Because of her extensive experience as an injector, she was selected for a national team of physicians who train other physicians on the proper techniques for injectable therapy. She was elected “Top Doc in Cosmetic Dermatology” by her physician peers for two consecutive years.
Through her Dermatology training at Johns Hopkins, she has become an expert not only in conditions of the skin but also in those affecting the scalp and hair. She has carved her niche in her field by combining the most effective medical therapies with those with superior aesthetic properties, recognizing that patients are often not satisfied unless their therapy adequately encompasses both factors.
Dr. Kazin has authored several manuscripts and textbook chapters on Dermatology, Internal Medicine, and Plastic Surgery. She is often featured in the media as an expert on topics ranging from skin care, acne, rosacea, hair loss, hair and scalp disorders, cosmetic dermatology and skin cancer.
Media outlets including the Baltimore Sun, Wall Street Journal, Prevention, Health.com, Medesthetics, Healthnewsdigest.com, WomensHealthmag.com, BeautyHigh.com, Beautyinthebag.com, Examiner.com have featured Dr. Kazin in recent publications. She is also frequently called upon for commentary on topics in her fields of expertise by broadcast media, including National Public Radio and Let’s Talk Live, among others.
Dr. Kazin is an invited lecturer at the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery annual conference, and serves on several committees for the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Lasers in Medicine, Maryland Dermatologic Society, and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
